Leylah Fernandez

Leylah Annie Fernandez (born 6 September 2002) is a Canadian professional tennis player. She has been ranked as high as No. 13 in women's singles by the WTA, achieved in August 2022, and No. 17 in doubles, achieved in October 2023. Fernandez has won five WTA Tour singles titles, and as a teenager, she finished runner-up at the 2021 US Open, defeating three top-5 players en route (including defending champion Naomi Osaka).

Fernandez represents Canada at the Billie Jean King Cup, and led it to its first championship in 2023, winning the decisive rubber in the final and being awarded the Heart Award.
