For her work, she has received the Fulkerson Prize (1988), the Dantzig Prize (2006), and the IEEE John von Neumann Medal (2019). Tardos's research interest is algorithms and algorithmic game theory. Her work focuses on the design and analysis of efficient methods for combinatorial optimization problems on graphs or networks. She has done some work on network flow algorithms like approximation algorithms for network flows, cut, and clustering problems. Her recent work focuses on algorithmic game theory and simple auctions.","birth_date":"1957-10-01","birth_place":"Budapest","birth_place_coordinates":{"latitude":47.498333,"longitude":19.040833},"birth_place_wikidata_id":"Q1781","birth_place_wikidata_url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1781","canonical_name":"\u00c9va Tardos","canonical_url":"https://zh-cn.instaget.online/people/41bdd4723be8a1b365ba309c","citizenships":["Hungary","United States"],"death_date":null,"description":"Hungarian mathematician","external_ids":{"isni":{"id":"0000000073745178","url":"https://isni.org/isni/0000000073745178"},"loc":{"id":"n88168238","url":"https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n88168238.html"},"viaf":{"id":"52315288","url":"https://viaf.org/viaf/52315288/"}},"full_name":"\u00c9va Tardos","height_cm":null,"names":{"aliases":["Eva Tardos"],"birth":[],"native":[],"official":[]},"native_name":null,"notable_works":[],"occupations":["mathematician","computer scientist","university teacher"],"official_websites":[],"photo":{"author":"Marc Smith","license":"CC BY-SA 2.0","license_url":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/","source":"Wikimedia Commons","source_url":"https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Eva_Tardos_(2007).jpg","url":"https://instaget-public-commons.tor1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/public/commons/f31dfe6a040cb3d040e6049e992d0a1fb4ef5805ce165ee457f5cc00b3de355f"},"profile_url":"https://zh-cn.instaget.online/people/41bdd4723be8a1b365ba309c","provenance":{"catalog":"wikidata_wikipedia","fetched_at":"2026-08-29T06:15:14Z","social_archives_included":false,"source_url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q15030"},"public_hash":"41bdd4723be8a1b365ba309c","schema_version":"1.1","socials":{},"tags":[{"key":"category:science-and-academia","label":"Science and academia","type":"category"},{"key":"category:engineering-and-technology","label":"Engineering and technology","type":"category"},{"key":"occupation:mathematician","label":"mathematician","type":"occupation"},{"key":"occupation:computer scientist","label":"computer scientist","type":"occupation"},{"key":"occupation:university teacher","label":"university teacher","type":"occupation"},{"key":"country:budapest","label":"Budapest","type":"country"},{"key":"citizenship:hungary","label":"Hungary","type":"citizenship"},{"key":"citizenship:united states","label":"United States","type":"citizenship"}],"wikidata_id":"Q15030","wikidata_url":"https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q15030","wikipedia_url":"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89va_Tardos"}
